  • Our government should not legislate morality. If you want that, become a Muslim and move to Iran. Church and Family should instill the values that help people make moral decisions. Politicians have no business trying to make moral decisions for citizens.

  • 95% of the population is not poor! My wife and I work our asses off. We make a combined income of less than 50K and we still pay taxes each year. While rich a-holes enjoy tax cuts and loopholes wile driving their Mercedes Benz and sipping $100 / bottle wine.

  • Veto-proof describes those votes with a margin sufficient to override a veto, should it occur. Since a 2/3 vote is required to override, a veto-proof majority is 290 in the House and 67 in the Senate.

  • Dems do not have a Veto Proof Majority! They are poised to have it after this election. The right has filibustered and Bush has vetoed everything they try to pass that is in the Dems interest.
